Marianne is a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network and has been working with them for over a dozen years. Her education includes Principles and Practices of Organization Development from Columbia University and Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ithaca College, and attained Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation.
As a corporate citizen, Marianne spent 20 years at the IBM Corporation. Under the auspices of IBM’s Global Leadership Development practice and the Executive Computing Program, she focused exclusively on IBM’s top 50 executives and the Senior Management Group (top 300) over an 8-year period. Developmental targets for the top team included expanding their leadership capability, actualizing strategy, and effectively utilizing technology. Marianne had the unique experience of personally coaching three IBM CEO’s in the use of executive effectiveness platforms. She has also developed programs for IBM in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business to produce a financial simulator workshop that integrated financial acumen with leadership.
Marianne’s coaching and business strategy clients not only include those from IBM, but from Marsh Insurance, one of the “Big Four” professional services firms, Federal Reserve Bank of NY, DE Shaw, Dow Chemical Company, McGraw Hill Publishing/Platts, Verizon, CSX Railroad, and Symbol Technologies, Inc.
Marianne is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, and holds formal certification from Hay/McBer in Emotional Intelligence, Learning Styles, Organization Climate, Resilience Factors and Leadership Styles. Marianne is qualified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and has worked with Vantage Partners (Harvard Negotiation Project) on Conflict Management techniques, and on Collaborative Leadership with the Steven’s Institute of Technology and with DISC and Trimetrix instrumentation.
Outside of her passion for leadership development, Marianne also expresses her zeal for life by playing the flute, practicing Tai Chi and traveling extensively with her husband Bob. She is a member of the Westchester Symphonic Winds and has performed for notable audiences including former President George W. Bush, Astronaut Mark Kelly, and Senator John McCain.
